It says my car is overheating but it
doesn't seem like it's overheating
the light keep coming on the
dashboard

Usually on the vehicles there are weeper holes on the water pump. I own a 2011 Chevy Impala LT and this is a very common issue. Basically wants that weeper hole starts leaking it means your water pumps about to go bad it's kind of like a backup. Continue driving it here eventually going to blow a head gasket but very common issues are the thermostat or there's no coolant in the car

If there's a check engine light on in your car that is probably one of the sensors
