Over heating

Asked by M Jun 30, 2016 at 09:24 PM about the 2000 GMC Safari 3 Dr SLE Passenger Van Extended

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My safari  just started over heating.  The heater is
still working, but my oil pressure at idle is 20 and
then it jumps up to about 42 when I drive.  I kept
the heater on while driving and was able to get it
home 6 miles. Any thoughts on what might be
causing overheating? Thank you in advance

i guess its full of water and there is no air in the system??? thermostate is good??? to hot thins the oil.. go up in oil weight also after you fix the ove rheating.

Ok, so i can flush the system and add the proper amount of anti freeze???

Lol, i was over thinking it. Thanks for the wake up. I'll add it when i get off work. Thanks again.
