is it not under the Powertrain warranty? it's 100K miles/ 6 years I believe

The code was P0040 I believe . Car died while backing up. Restarted just fine drove to work. When I restarted later the check engine light came on. I was right next to auto zone so they hooked the Kia up and gave me the code but said it could be because I multiple people were driving the car. Tech cleared the check engine light. As I backed out of the slot the Kia died and would not stay idling. The code came back as a camshaft sensor. I called the Kia dealer and found the parts but changing them have not corrected the issue. I really don't wanna keep pouring money in. Kia dealer gave me a list of things I can try: timing set, idle / airflow sensor, or new computer. ( there is no timing set... Have to order all in pieces) I appreciate any help I can get at this point!
