Can't turn gear shift knob to "S"

Asked by Guru9RL2QL Aug 01, 2022 at 09:36 AM about the 2015 Chrysler 200 C Sedan AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I turned the knob to shift into drive too quickly after starting the car and the
knob turned but it remained in park and got some strange message.  I shut
off the car and restarted it, and the car is driving fine and can shift between
P/R/N/D, but now I cannot turn the know all the way to the "S" position.

Any suggestions?

Welcome to the messed up world of Chrysler, sounds like the BCM got messed up, most likely the dealer will need to reflash it to bring thing back to normal.
