Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My fuel gauge in my 1999 GMC Sonoma 4.3 always stays on empty, doesn't move. I have replaced fuel pump in hopes of solving this issue but haven't had any luck. Anny Suggestions?

You'll need to check the wire for the sending unit. On GM less than empty equals a short and over full equals open circuit. Trace the loom up to the front and look for damage. If it runs close to the exhaust thats where I would start.
