Question type: Maintenance & Repair

219xxx miles... was running just fine but died while driving. code read
P1345= camshaft position sensor. i changed the camshaft position sensor,
Timing Chain, reset timing chain and rotor in distributor cap to correct
positions, still no start. got good fuel to system, got good spark, car will
backfire up through intake while trying to crank over. timing is off...rotor is
180 degrees out but cant figure out why. Does anyone have an idea of what
this issue could be? Distributor? Camshaft broken?

The reason the distributor is 180 out is when you put the timing chain set and you aligned the marks on sprockets on the cam was at 12 o'clock or 6 o'clock that's why it's 180 degrees out The easiest way to fix this is to pull the distributor and rotate 180 and re-install When you go to set the base timing make sure to disconnect the wire at the distributer that disables the computer from advancing the timing ) when you set the BASE TIMING Make sure to set-up on the compression stroke pull #1 spark to make sure
