2015 GMC Acadia AC/Re-circulating air weirdness

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Here goes, a few weeks ago when I pushed the re-circulating button, it did not light up, it did not blow air. I then pushed the AC button, light came on, system blew very warm air. This happens intermittently and not everyday. When this happens, I can turn my car off for a few minutes, turn it back on and these things then work. Shop says it's not a code, I changed the battery and it still does it. Also at the same time I had an intermittent issue when using the driver side controls to put the passenger window down, it had a mind of its own, sometimes it would go down, sometimes not. AND the USB jack on the dash, works when it wants to. Told ya, weird, any ideas? TIA

I am experiencing the exact same thing here. First started with my passenger side window, then the a/c starting blowing hot and it seems the recirculating button gets stuck and that is when the air is warm. Turn the car off for a minute and then back on and the ac works again. this has been happening on an off for the last couple of weeks. yesterday, when I turned the car off and turned it back on so that the ac would work the engine light came on and has not gone off. I called the dealership and I am currently waiting for their reply. Also, I've always had trouble with the USB jack doing what it wants since the 1st day I bought it.
So, just had my vehicle back to the dealer last Friday, 3rd time in 3 weeks. First week, they suggested I replace the battery (which I did based on the number reading and gauge.) They wanted to check the ac lines for a leak at a cost of $200, I declined because I knew they'd say we didn't find anything. The next week while driving home from a trip (an hour long trip) the temp gauge was bouncing all over, the ac and recirculating started blowing warm air, then magically the engine light came on. Took it the next day and it was a cannister purge valve code and GM has a bulletin on it and they will replace free until 2025. The error code was P0442 dealer states it as Evaporative System Purge Valve Solenoid. Still nothing done to help the ac, and as I drove home the problems with ac remained. I was mad. So I decided to video the temp gauge bouncing all around and naturally had some animated narrations by me. I went the next week videoing and taking notes on the strange new things that began. Like while using the AC the recirc button would come on magically and the air would blow warm, and turning the ac off before shutting off the car, only to have it come on all by itself when started the next day. Then BAM another engine light came on. Week 3. Went in gave them a copy of my week long notes, sent the videos to my service advisor AND the service manager. AND I had done some research on what this could be: could it be the coolant sensor, the thermostat sensor, the ambient air temp sensor or maybe the liquid line evaporator corroded (I saw a post about that with a pic.) So I by now I have a little chip on my shoulder, I get a free loaner vehicle and leave my Acadia in the hands of experts..........the service manager called me later that evening and guess what it needed the coolant sensor, the connector was leaking and I needed that line evaporator replaced. I didn't pay a thing! All they ask is I give them a great rating on the survey, I'll make sure all is well for a couple of weeks first. Be strong, do your homework, use notes/video and be persistent.
By the way, I've given up on the passenger window issue and the usb issue, I had bigger fish to fry.
