I have a 2015 hyundai sonata. I am only getting around 30.5 mpg which is 95% freeway driving. Is that good because the commercials say about 38 mpg on highway?

It's a brand new car? Then that's as good as it gets- to get the 38 you must have a very light foot, cruise at 55 mph, and have your tires filled up rock hard- they have other tricks to get those good numbers, but if you suspect something is wrong take it to the dealer and have them check it- it is under warranty isn't it?

I bought a new 2014 Sonata 2.0 Turbo and I have gotten as high as 35 mpg highway. Usually 32-35 highway. 30 would be very low end. Check your tire pressure. Keep them at 40 lbs and you will see improvement.

The car is essentially put on a treadmill, which means that it doesn't encounter the things that we all run into in daily driving (hills, wind resistance, rolling resistance of different types of tires, traction variances over different surfaces, etc.). In any automobile ad you see there is the disclaimer "Your mileage may vary." I would say that it is pretty much a dead certainty that it will.
