2015 Chevy Impala stabila tracking check engine

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We have a 2015 Chevy Impala that we have had the
same issue with roughly 5-6 times in the last two
years.  It doesn't matter city or highway driving.
You will randomly feel the car shutter/pause/jerk
and then the stabila tracking and check engine
lights come on.  Then the car will allow you to drive
it enough to get it to the side of the road but not
accelerate past roughly 20mph and it is difficult to
get enough gas to get up a hill.  We've taken it to
several Chevy dealerships and a Firestone while
this is happening but they can't get it to replicate th
actions while they have it.  They've run all kinds of
electrical diagnostics and we are at a loss.  Like I
said, it occurs randomly so we can't find a common
thread between when it is happening.  We've
learned to pull over, turn the car off and wait a
minute or two and when we restart it it will drive
fine. The stabila tracking light disappears but the
check engine light will remain for a bit.  Any
thoughts?
