Low oil pressure warning

Asked by Mslisaking Nov 10, 2016 at 01:41 PM about the 2015 Chevrolet Malibu LS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Bought 2015 Chevrolet Malibu in May, 2016. 30,000
miles.   Within weeks, low oil pressure warning
came on. Pulled over, called dealership and they
towed it, kept it a few days, said it was probably
sensor.  Within days, I was back at dealership with
same issue. Now it's November and this is the 5th
time they have had it. They continue to tell me that
they can't find a problem. Now I'm in the position of
warranty expiring at 36,000. Guidance please

Since you have documented the problem they are on the hook for the problem. I would complain directly to GM though.

Thank you so much ~ It's reassuring to know I'm not being unreasonable. The service adviser at the dealership I've dealt with has begun to make me feel like I should be apologizing to him for him not doing his job. Thank you again. I appreciate it ~
