What is the security light doing on the dashboard - Have someone pull codes for the passlock system - should begin with a "B" We can help further after that

the security light flashes when you crank it over.how do you do a passlock?

the security light comes on for about 5 seconds then goes out. but when you crank it over the light flashes

First of all I didnt read the ending ... IF the battery and other lights stay on with the key out the wiring is wrong .. now you computer has cleared its key code in the body control computer so it to shuts off as a security feature for the car. Wire it properly then take the original key it in the ignition. Turn the key to run but do not start the vehicle. Wait until the security light goes off and then remove the key from the ignition. Should be ready to go after you do two keys.

the jimmy is wired right but only the battery light and odometer stays on. the jimmy is back to original before the remote start was put in but ill try what you said with the key thanks ill let you know if it works

here is the reset, if this doesn't reset it u have a hard fault. PASSKEY LOCKOUT RESET ALL GM CARS 1999 AND UP 1) Put the key in the ignition and turn to the "ON" position. Leave it that way for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes turn the key and take it out. Repeat this process (2) more times (3 times, 30 minutes total) This should reset the PASSKEY system to recognize your key

Hey just try..... Press the power door-lock switch to lock all other door except the drivers door,security light will appear. Now close drivers door security light will go...hence resetting the system....:-)

My jimmy does not reverse
