I have this car , only a 2010 model. OK, if you have the lights set for automatic, and you stop the car and turn off the engine, you need to remove the key from the ignition. On the off chance that you have the push button start, try just opening the door and locking the car. That should work, if not, you may have a problem and I'm sure it's a warranty issue. I don't think that you have to manually turn off the lights, the car is designed for this automatic light feature. Good luck, let me know what you found out.

MANUALLY turn off the lights, then reset to automatic. Lights should stay off until key is switched to aux or turned on. Careful, Grasshopper....
