Does this all seem right for a certified 2015 OB
Bought my 15 OB in July, a CPO car with 36,000 miles on it. A few days
after purchase I found 9 items that were a problem. Recently I had it to the
dealer again and I get answers like this -
The coolant loss that I asked them why it is happening. This was their answer
-
“Coolant level rises and falls to meet the needs of the motor, and some may
be lost due to evaporation or consumption. Tech performed a pressure test &
only 21 pounds were lost in 10 mins (5-8 lbs in a few mins would be a
significant loss). Some pressure will be lost to rubber hoses expanding and
contracting.” operating as designed."
The rough idle with the AC turned on? This was their answer -
“AC being on puts extra load on the engine causing a rougher idle – All
operating as designed.”
Why isn’t the ambient temp gauge always working - This was their answer
(very long)
“May take a while for sensor to acquire sufficient amount of samples to create
an average, rarely is the sensor extremely accurate. Also if temp is being
checked on a cell phone, the temp reading that is showing the current
temperature will be at the local airport & the current location of the vehicle is
not at the airport so there will be a variation in the reading of the
temperatures. If comparing to a temp displayed at a bank sign, the banks
generally have their thermometer in the top of their business signs, with the
thermometer being up in the aid, the reading from the car may vary due to
the fact that aid temp changes with elevation.” operating as designed."
I had a brake pedal problem after car sat for a few days - This was their
answer -
"After car sits for an "extended" period of time, air may escape the vacuum
system, causing a hard break pedal before start up. All operating as
designed."
