What is the importance of knowing the torque ratio of a perspective Carter buy

There is no such thing as "torque ratio". There is the gear ratio and the engine torque measurement. If the car drives well and works for you then that is all you need to know.
I see that you posted this question twice and FOR is correct, there's "gear ratios" , but, no torque ratio, BUT, this could not have been critically important to you since you already purchased the car , according to your other question. So, what are you really concerned about? I found this article for you on torque to weight ratio, is this what you were asking? The Subaru 2.5 Four with the CVT transmission is a pretty good match in my opinion. It's got plenty of acceleration unless you are some twenty something who thrives on power. Hey, if you fit that profile, you probably bought the wrong car! And, there's enough torque and pulling power to tow a smaller trailer. I have a 1000 pound teardrop trailer that I pull easily behind my car even on steep hills. And the tow capacity is 2,700 pounds in the Subaru Outback. So, again, what's going on? https://danielmiessler.com/study/horsepower/
One further thought on torque and horsepower. It's more advantageous to have the torque and horsepower numbers equal, because the power band of the car will be smoother at all speeds from zero to top speed. And, the continuously variable transmission will assist with this, because, the engine speed will be optimized no matter where and how you're driving. I'm sure that you have experienced situations where a car shifted into high gear and the car is climbing a hill and has to constantly downshift to adjust for the steep incline. The CVT is just going to change the engine speed to compensate for this and you'll never feel this. It's not going to lug at all, rather it will adjust faster for the conditions and allow you to accelerate. It's that seamless. Good luck.
