can you upgrade the audio system 2015 honda pilot lx?

I want to change out my stock audio for a fully equipped touch screen but I
was told that it wasn't possible and that it actually could harm the system of
my vehicle.

I was told by an installer that it was not possible. That it could make other systems not work.
