2015 Cherokee engine light and gas cap light on

Gas cap light comes on for a day, goes off and engine light comes on for a few days and goes off. couple days later it starts all over again. Had cap replaced twice

It sounds like you have a leak in one of the evap lines. Take it to a dealership and have them smoke test it to find the leak. It should be covered under warranty.
