Jeep Cherokee Noise When Turning

Asked by GuruL4TYW Mar 17, 2019 at 09:56 PM about the 2015 Jeep Cherokee Limited FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have noticed a noise every time I go to turn my Jeep Cherokee this past
weekend.  Is it something that I should have looked at?  It is going on 4 years
old this May.

Can you describe the noise at all? If it's a clicking or popping/rattle it might be one of your CV joints going bad. You need to pinpoint where the noise is coming from or take it to someone who can.

It isn't clicking or popping by any means, it is more like a whine when I turn the steering wheel. I can't decide if it is coming from the steering wheel itself or the column.

Could be from low power steering fluid.
