One click, no start when cold

Asked by Korey Jan 05, 2018 at 02:37 PM about the 2015 Ford Fiesta SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When it is very cold out and I try to start my manual trans Fiesta, it will give me
just one click and that is it.  When it warms up outside, it fires right up.  The
battery is brand new and the dealer thinks its the starter/solenoid.  Any other
ideas?  It's a 1.0L ecoboost model.  I checked the grounds and they seem fine.

What did you find out ? I have the same issue, it has happened 2 times. Both times I managed to get the car started after 10-15 tries. The battery is fine and I've tried with a booster with same result. Didn't start with the booster but did start eventually
