911 turbo s overheating

Asked by David1234321 Aug 24, 2017 at 07:42 PM about the 2015 Porsche 911 Turbo S Coupe AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I wrapped my car in a wrapping garage when i took
my car and left the garage the car was fine but after
30 minutes the car overheated and all the water
went out of the car when i checked the cover of the
water it was loose a bit and not very tight. Is it
possible that the car overheated because in the
garage someone openned the cover and didnt
close it tightly ?? Should i be worried ??

Yes, you should have great concern. Water is the bloodline to your engines life. What happened when you refilled the car with water? There are no WARNING signs for waterlines coming lose. Question: have the waterlines been pinned? Depending on the year of the car, factory glued waterlines fail. Big time! With little warning. Water pumps sometimes give an indication of a small leak. However, like a waterline, a water pump can fail depending on the age or miles of the car. Another reason not to purchase a low mile car that has aged. What is the history and year of your turbo. A trip to a certified Porsche Mechanic is due.
