BMW X5 2015 completely dead

Yesterday my BMW X5 2015 started to act weird.  starting showing an alarm
"hood open" and did not allowed to turn on, my wife tried to turned on couple
times until "she said"a strange sound happened.  after couple hours I got back
to the car to try to turned on but now is completely dead, no signal of
electricity at all.   the battery level shows 5.5 Volts.  there are two batteries in
the back the big one shows 5.5 but the other smaller one shows 12.  I think is
a fuse or short circuit situation,  any thoughts?

try replacing the battery since it is at 5.5V. You will need to have it registered to the vehicle with special software from a dealer or BMW independent garage so the battery is charged properly in the future. But you can install a new one and start the vehicle, so you can get it to the shop.

Thank you! My concern is that something make the battery to fall dramatically as I didn't have any alarm before so it could make the new battery to fail again in the same way
