I am having the exact same problem on my 2002 escape, however, this happened after it sat for a long time and I had to change the battery. No Radio, No DOME light, Power locks will only work with the key in the on position. Anyone have a solution for this problem?

commom problem with the escape, this vehicle is as bad as the explorer was.for the proper fix, take it to a ford dealer.i think their was a recall on this.worth a try,if im right and it was it will cost you nothing for them to fix it.even if you not the original owner.

I had the same problem with my 03 Escape. It ended up being a fuse in the truck that had blown. I brought into the dealer and had them figure it out. I was told that one of the GEM units had blown a fuse. It cost me $10 to have them do it. I even had them cut and program a new key and oil change and it was a little over $100 for everything. Its not a big issue as everyone is saying. Just bring it into FORD and they can fix it for almost nothing. Its FUSE # 27. Just an FYI

Radio wouldn't work on my 2013 Escape. Checked owners manual to find nothing about it. Called dealer service department they said there was nothing I could do. When I told service dept. about radio not working, they said I would have to bring it in with a black screen. Never said that...just said radio wasn't working. They wouldn't be able to see it till next week. Not being without radio for a week. Checked on line and found it was a common problem involving the sync system. Shut off sync and radio came back on. Radio works!!!! Five minutes and reading all your comments. Thank-you for all your posts. =)

It's the 'room' fuse...after tons of research I found out that there is a small fuse (almost hidden) in the inside kick panel fuse box...it in the bottom right corner...it's hard to see if you just glance at it...it cost me $3.57 and it fixed all problems.

Re my 2002 Ford Escape, no radio, power locks not working after jump start, Have found the solution from some posts. It was a blown mini 10 ampsFuse, a fuse by itself behind a relay. I think it was #27. ?????

I have a 2002 Ford Escape and I have the same problem but where is fuse 27 I couldn’t find it

I have a 2003 Mazda Tribute (it's a Ford Escape with Mazda badge), and my power locks, dome light, radio, dash board lights etc were out. Went to auto shop and picked up a mini 10 Amp fuse after reading this forum. I replaced the mini 10 amp in the #27 location on the fuse box inside the car, not the engine fuse box.. On my model it is located on the driver side of the car. IT WORKED! Also, the fuse I replaced was definitely blown.

I have a ford escape 2004 , same trouble headlights, domelights, unlock butons, didn't work without the key in ON position. I change fuse #27 in the fuse box inside the car and totally work.

I have a Chrysler Sebring 2005 and we changed the battery and the dashboard lights, AC, radio and power locks won’t work now. Checked the fuses and they were OK? Any thoughts?

Ovalstate - I just remedied a similar issue on my old '97 Stratus. Like the OP, it was my power locks, dome light, and radio. However, no such #27 "room" fuse exists in the Stratus. All of the fuses in the interior fuse box were fine. Checked the fuse box in the engine compartment and sure enough, there was a burned-out 20A. Seeing as your Sebring is also a Chrysler product, if you haven't checked the engine fuse box yet, give it a shot.
