Why does my escape give me a hard time restarting after driving a short distance?

My 2001 ford Escape has 120,000 miles on it.After driving for varied distances
and shutting off the car,it gives me a hard time restarting.It cranks but barely
turns over.

If the engine turns slowly while trying to restart it I would recommend getting the battery tested.

Thanks Bob.....had the battery tested on a routine oil change last month and it looked good.....maybe I explained it wrong.....it has a good strong crank but takes a few seconds to start.....wondering if its some sort of fuel problem...
