What could be wrong with the car?

Asked by Guru39HB1 Jun 26, 2020 at 08:47 PM about the 2015 Chevrolet Sonic LT Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently purchased a 2015 Chevy Sonic LT and I
am already experiencing issues. The vehicle enters
an engine reduction mode where it doesn’t allow
you to accelerate past a certain speed for safety
reasons. I took the vehicle to multiple mechanics
and they all told me that it was the throttle body
that needed to be replaced. I had the part replaced
and the problem still happens, and the mechanic
only sees the throttle body code. Any ideas about
why it could be doing this?

You need a new computer box. It happen to my sonic too!. I got the throttle fix and engine codes still kept popping up and disappearing. I finally ask the mechanic to look over my car and that was the problem.
