Do you recommend the lifetime warranty

What lifetime are we talkin' about? It's a new Corolla- with regular maintenance, it will probably last longer than you do- are you going to keep it that long?
Toyota does not offer a 'lifetime warranty' If the salesman was trying to talk you in to some sort of warranty that exceeds the 5 year/60k mile drivetrain and rust warranty it's some aftermarket insurance policy, not even a warranty. So full of deductibles and exclusions it's not worth a dime. If something goes wrong after the factory warranty they will deny it categorically , just to see if you pursue it. Then the dealer or shop has to get 'approval' first and no dealers and most shops won't go the that hassle of all the paperwork. They don't trust the company to honor an approval They always say you ran it without oil, canned denial. Some even require you to pay up front, then the insurance will reimburse you. Yeah, Right.
That's right Mr. Nut, what you said- that is about the best answer I ever saw on this site- ok everybody, read this and forget the "extended warranties-
Thank You for the compliment Mr. Jam
80% of Corollas built since 1996 are still on the road. Of the 20% crushed or in junkyards, 15% of those were because of collisions -totaled. 5% because of catastrophic mechanical failure, like a rod-through-block and deemed totaled because of age and condition of rest of car. Better numbers than Lexus.
