Wheel Well LED Flow Lights running of battery

Question type: Car Customization
I have a 2015 Ford F150 and had LED wheel well lights installed and they
are running off the battery. My truck and lights worked fine for a few days, let
the truck sit for a couple of days and now it will not start. Unhooked the light
s from the battery now truck starts. Do I need a new battery or should the
lights be connected to some place else? I wanted to add underbody lights as
well but do not know now.

It sounds like someone hard wired the lights to the battery instead of using a switched circuit.
Thank you, so should a switch circuit be used and is it too late to have it installed? It didn't come with a switch circuit. Will I need the same thing for the under body lights or can it run from just the one switch?
You need to use a circuit that is switched off with the ignition key. You can also have a switch to turn them on and off as you like when the key is on. I think you need a good mechanic to wire it up.
Check the fuse box under the hood, you probably have a vacant slot unless your vehicle has every option available. You can use a vacant/unused slot. Route wires from the fuse to a witch inside, then to the lights. check the wattage of what is installed and don't overload wire of amperage usage.
