2015 car should take it back to the dealer, sounds like this has to do with emissions, this is what it means...P2610 TOYOTA - ECM Internal Engine Off Timer Performance... Possible causes.... - Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM) - ECM Harness is open or shorted - ECM Circuit poor electrical connection - ECM outdated program... Possible symptoms... - Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light) P2610 Toyota Description... 5 hours after the ignition switch is turned OFF, the soak timer activates the Engine Control Module (ECM) to begin the EVAP system monitor. While the engine is running, the ECM monitors the synchronization of the soak timer and the CPU clock. If these two are not synchronized, the ECM interprets this as a malfunction, illuminates the MIL and sets the Detected Trouble Code (DTC).
So I turned on my car this morning to take it to the dealer and the engine light is no longer on. I took in anyways and they told me that they can't diagnose it since the light isn't on anymore. They were really busy and I don't know if they were just trying to rush me out the door or not but should I be concerned?
Isn't there some warranty for the car? Just make an appointment. But if the engine light is not on, its tough to diagnose, but just tell them the code that came up so they know where to look.
