Question type: Maintenance & Repair

All shocks have been replaced. Experince very rough jaring when hitting road
bumps.Compaired front suspension with my 2002 F350  4 x 4 crew cab and it has 3 leaf
springs up front compaired with only 2 leaf springs on my 4 x4 2001 Excursion. Has
anyone else had same issues. Would adding addition leaf up front slow down the jarring
effect ?

possibly, I am not too familiar with that model, but does it have torshion bars? My Chevrolet has them. they can be tightened and raise the front a bit. If possible, you would need an alignment afterwards.

Yes it does have a torsion bar up front. I will inspect closer to see if it can be tightened. It should have an bar on each end/side which allows for stronger torsion. I will let you know what I find out. Thanks for your help !

Mike, Torsion bar is tight. It appears there is no adjustment ether on the factory stock torsion bar. I have added a torsion bar on rear axle several months ago and it had 3 different settings to enable you to adjust ride. Front torsion bar is stock and has no adjustments. Would having an additional leaf spring added as my F350 has soften the bumps? Thanks
