RAV4 2015 engine noise

The engine runs much louder when in drive, but
sounds normal in reverse, also sounds normal in
parking. What could be the problem?

Engines run faster and louder out on the highway.

I have 2016 Toyota RAV4 2 YEARS OLD 34000 MILES. Recently big louder noise from engine. I checked with mechanic also said everything good. This sound really causing annoying to me. Any idea about problem.
