I live in NC. I want to buy a car in Temple AZ. How can I be sure if I send them $83,000 that I will receive the car?

we dont know any details of your dealings with this person,i would not send any money unless you..are dealing with a reputable dealership.it is possible they are trying to beguile you.

Are you buying it from a dealer or from a private party? If from a licensed dealer you should be fine. If it is a smaller dealer do some research to make sure they are indeed licensed. If you are dealing with a private party you might want to look into an escrow service that would hold the funds until the transaction is complete and you receive the car. That said, I've been in the auto industry for 30+ years and I would NEVER buy a car long distance from a private party without taking a trip to inspect the car in person as well as have an independent mechanical inspection done.
