Fan motor or resistor?????

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Fan makes noise.   Stays on low fan but will go on
high.  Fan speed increases or decreases according
to speed.  Damper sticks on different modes.  
HELP.   thank you!!!!!

Sounds like there's a problem with the charging system or grounds to me ,.

Fan motor makes noise so that is obviously bad and needs replaced, now the fact that it increases its speed with vehicle speed could be a blend door problem, will it do it if on recirc mode? If it does then it’s a voltage problem, if it doesn’t then it and blend door problem, As you already have some problems with mode control damper you might have other heater contour issues. I recommend you take it to your favorite independent shop and have bothe the power system and HVAC system checked. And yes it could get expensive as they may need to remove the dash to fix the HVAC and replace the blower motor.
