I've had the car for only 3 years and the paint on the edge of the hood is bubbling and peeling

I'd contact a dealership. Most manufacturers have long warranties against paint defects. You may be able to get it repaired at no cost to you.
My 2013 Rogue is in shop now getting a total paint job, all expenses paid by Nissan. Bought my car new and over the years the paint on hood was chipping. I called Nissan Consumer at 800-637-7261, explained how paint was chipping on hood. At that time I was given a case number and told to take it to Nissan dealership so they could take photos and submit to them. My case was reviewed by Nissan Consumer and they called and asked me to take it to paint shop to get an estimate for a total paint job. The paint shop sent Nissan Consumer the estimate, and shortly after they called and told me my claim was approved. The paint shop called me to set up an appt., and it’s is in the process of getting painted now. Plus, I was given a loner to drive.
Oops, got the phone number wrong. Nissan Consumer is 800-647-7261.
I have a 2015 Nissan Rogue in black that the hood is bubbling and peeling. It has 48,000 miles on it and Nissan will only pay 50% of a repair. The hood needs to be replaced but they won’t consider that. So I’ve purchased 3 nissans previously but no more. When a product is defective you should stand up and fix it
Same problems here. My 2015 Nissan Rogue in black with 55,000 miles and same response from Nissan who in "Good Faith" will only pay for 50% of repair. The hood needs to be replaced because its aluminum and with the paint it is bubbling from the inside. I am not done paying for the car and now I have a figure a big expense if I want to fix it. I wish more people will talk about this issue.
My 2015 Nissan Rogue has the same bubbling problem. Showed dealership on July 1, 2019. Picture taken. Told I would have to pay $250. Okay. On Feb. 11, 2020 told that Nissan has denied any assistance. This is not my problem. It is a factory problem. What is my next step? Arlene
I reported and showed Nissan that my paint was peeling when I washed it...Nissan Frontier. At that time it only had 27,000-28,000 miles on it. They gave me a case number way back then and continued to gaff me off...now that it has 67,000 they assigned me a new...3rd case number and, yes, they claim it is now out of warranty! Nissan knows they have this problem with their primer which causes the problems and they get paid for denial of painting it...
I contacted Nissan regarding the paint failure on my 2015 Nissan Rogue and they have refused to accept responsibility for any portion. I also have an issue with the suspension dating all the way back to the third month I bought the car. I've taken the car in multiple times and its yet to be fixed. I will never buy a Nissan again.
I have 2018 Nissan rouge and it has started to chipping paint from every panel and rust dots are appearing from whole body mostly doors.I am sure they will not take the responsibility as usual and I don't know how to fix it in an affordable way.
My 2015 Rogue also has paint issues

My 2017.5 Murano has the same issue. Nissan won’t pay because they say it’s out of warranty. Every body shop says it’s a manufactured defect

My 2017 Murano has the same issue, the roof started peeling around 30k miles and they repainted only the roof. We tried to have them paint the entire car and they refused. Now the hood is peeling and we have logged another claim but the warranty has expired. Every body shop has said it is a manufactured defect. We are trying to get them to pay

the only way to get recalls is to call Nissan corporate and complain.

My daughter has a 2013 Nissan Rogue and last November the paint started chipping off and almost peeling away for no reason. We did not know what was happening and then I googled it and saw they have a defect with their paint for her year/model. Called many times and they had us bring it in and quote it etc. All for them to say they wont help her at all. She cant afford to paint the car nor should she have to. Its a defect on their part. They said her warranty ended in November...the same month it started peeling. Now it is literally just falling off the car. We need help!! Any suggestions. Thanks.

NISSAN has not fixed this flaw and overall does not take responsibility. I contacted Nissan Corporate who told me I had to take to dealer, who turned around and said it's no longer under warranty. Just get a run around and based on complaints I've been reading Corporate obviously doesn't care or stand behind their product. Very disappointing. I have a 2014 Nissan Altima and was hoping to trade in for newer model, but now with peeling clear coat all over trunk, my vehicle is devalued even though rest of car is in great condition. Will not purchase another Nissan.

I purchased a used 2017 Nissan Rogue S, in the 'Emerald Jade' color in December 2020. Within five months I noticed a lot of spots on my hood; paint chips. I took it by the dealer and they weren't able to do anything nor my salesman wasn't the most helpful. I probably have +60 spots around my car, mostly on my hood and roof but also on the side of my car. Chips range in side, sometimes as big as a pencil eraser and sometimes as small as a pencil tip. In my opinion the paint looks very thin or either chip. This is not acceptable, it is a QC issue of Nissan. Does anyone have experienced the same issues? Is there anything I can do to prevent the paint chipping even more? I'm looking for any suggestions, thank you
I have a black 2017 Nissan Rogue SV. Have the same problem. There are white specs all over the hood. I have not taken it to a body shop. Very dissatisfied with my Nissan.
I have had a 214 Nissan rogue since it was brand new and as of a couple months ago the paint on the top of my hood has been peeling so bad and the whole right side on the passenger front is peeling. I went to Nissan. They said they won’t help me and I called corporate today. They won’t help me and this is a defect on Nissans parts and I think a class action lawsuit should start. A paint job is expensive and it’s apparently due to bad paint.

I have a 2015 Nissan Rouge and the paint is popping off and peeling in chunks. No rust, just a bad primer job. Nissan says !@#%$ it is out of warranty. Is anyone starting a lawsuit over 2015 pearl white painted cars?
