Can a 95 Gmc jimmy with automatic transmission be push started ?

Tried to drive my jimmy through flood water and now it wont start. Trying to
isolate the problem myself and since there doesn't appear to be any water in
the oil, I am trying to diagnose the issue. Starter spins but I don't believe it;s
engaging the flywheel as the engine does nothing at all and attempting a
push start just seems the easiest way to determine if it is the starter without
spending unnecessary money

Actually yes it can be but the speed required and the possible damage that can be done to the transmission is tremendous so its not suggested but it can be done
Pump pressure is required to engage the input shaft and output shaft in any drive gear. The pump is driven by the tourqe converter that is connected tk the motor (usual power source) and the input shaft. So explain to me how you can get pump pressure by only spinning the output shaft?
Old Chrysler's with the push button transmission can be push started if I remember correctly.
But this is a 95 Jimmy with a 4l60e. There are examples that "can" be push started but none relevant to this topic. This guy seems to be going around 2nd guessing peoples responses.
