Windshield washer pump replacement
1 Answer
It is not hard at all. Under the front of the car you'll have a plastic underbody shield. You only have to remove the right side in front of the passenger tire. The shield fasteners are 10mm bolts and push plugs. To remove the push plugs, pry the center lock out with a small screwdriver to release them and gain access to the bottom of your reservoir. There should be two motors, I cant recall which of the two is for the front but if you have someone try both pumps while you're down there you'll hear which one is working. Unplug the motor harness and the small rubber tube from the back of the faulty motor. Turn the whole motor counterclockwise about 90 degrees and pull straight out. Keep in mind at this point any and all fluid will drain from the reservoir so have a bucket ready. Once out, plug the new motor in and test it to be sure it runs. Dont put the vehicle together only to realize it's another problem like no power or a broken wire. Reverse steps to install. If you decide to tackle it yourself I hope it goes smoothly for you. Good luck!
