The cost will depend on what is done and how much you drive. Ask your BMW dealer for maintenance plan costs.
Not sure what year/miles you are looking for but the first service will be around $600 if you don't need anything outside of an oil change, fittings lubed, suspension and breaks checked etc.

Hello Guru, I have not found that to be the case. Now, I will caveat with the fact that if you need something repaired out of warranty it is going to cost you; however that would be the case with most any luxury/sport car. Normal servicing and replacement of normal wear and tear items will be on par with cars in its class. I came out of a Maserati GranTurismo for this car and so far the maintenance costs have been on par, if not slightly less for some things. Hope this helps.
