Check the compression on all the cylinders. Sounds like there is no draw, vacuum to draw the fuel into the cylinders. If the compression is good, then look at the intake manifold gasket.
They are timing gears there firebird.
I check the compression and they are 1/140, 2/140,3/140,4/137,5/140,6/130, I check the timming is good I replaced the exhaust gasket too the car was running before i replace the gasket i replaced all the vacuum lines can some one help me thanks
I'm thinking you may have a fuel issue. The gas that you see in the intake manifold, do you feel that you pumped the throttle enough to make that accumulation of gas? Those are good compression readings. I'm thinking either the fuel pump took a dump, pressure should be like 4 to 6 lbs. or the carb. is flooding.
You know, there is one other possibility, you replaced the exhaust manifold gasket, this would have sealed up the exhaust, is there a catalytic converter on there? If so, this could cause it not to draw if it is plugged.
If there is a cat. on there disconnect the exhaust before it and try to start it.

Maybe one tooth off when you replaced the distributor. The distributor has to be just right if just one tooth off will not start.
