I have a 57 Bel Air the battery was hooked up backwards and now I have no spark can anybody tell me why is that I have already replaced all the electronics

Have you replaced the condenser in the distributor? How about the voltage regulator? The old cars didn't have too much protection but your alternator also may need checking out, or is it still the generator? 6 volt or converted to 12 volt? Check all fuses also. Coil? That is about what is all there is to the old cars.
