Power steering 70 torino

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Installed all new components in steering. When to a
Saginaw pump. Completed all the work started her up
and the steering wheel took on a mind of its own, racking
back and forth on its own. What did I do wrong

I have a hunch, the original pump worked at around 800psi. A Saginaw works at about 1200psi. Ordered a reducing valve and will get it Thursday, any opinions

F-O-R: your suggestion through me because I bought original replacement hoses and the pressure/ return ports were different sizes. Working on my back under the car , I was so sure I ran the two short hoses parallel. Well it took so long because of a very bad hip I have but I looked under the car from the driver wheel well, and sure enough crossed lines. I switched them and e
