How can I set the media sound to turn off when I turn the engine off?

Asked by Mary Sep 05, 2018 at 08:56 AM about the 2015 Kia Sedona SX Limited

Question type: General

The media sound does not turn off when the engine is turned off; it only goes
off when the driver's door is open AFTER the engine is turn off. I cannot find
anything in "Settings" to change this.

I don't believe there's an option to turn it off. R.A.P. which stands for "Retain Accessory Power" maintains power for something like 10 minutes after the car is turned off or until a door is opened. You would think auto manufactures could incorporate a user adjustable timer. Sorry, hope this helps.

R.a.p. is to allow windows to be closed if you forget. Also keeps OnStar type systems powered in case of accidents cannot be turned off without a bcm reprogram module
