95GM2500 rear axle bearing race problem. drive new bearing 1\2 & stopped removed to clean housing .2 inches back there was something that looked like a very! thin bearing race can't remove tried arc

Welded trick chisel. In the right position to be a
race. all messed up now .chisel marks . Welding
slag. measured bearing and housing . correct , the
thing is in the way . ??? Tks.
