I have a 1964 impala 283 2 barrel sitting in my shop. The stamping reads F0222D. This stands for Flint Feb 22 and D is 283 powerglide. There are no more letters or numbers stamped. If this car had a hi perf engine, like a 409 or 300 Hp 327, there would be also the last 6 Vin numbers there.

It also seems that starting in 1962 or late 1961, Corvettes and high perf. engines in pass.car engines had last 6 of Vin stamped on deck pad. I have seen several. According to Allen Calvin, Chevy by the numbers, Corvette in 1960 got the Vin stamp, 327/300 and 409's were first in pass. cars.

I have 1969 impala with 327, block is stamped V1109FC and intake manifold is 3876954 is this the correct manifold for this car?
