noise when pressing accelerator slightly
Asked by David Dec 11, 2018 at 06:51 PM about the 2015 INFINITI QX60 AWD
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
After a service with my oil change, filter change, there is a clicking sound when I press the accelerator pedal slightly when driving or even parking. The noise is directly associated with the accelerator, only appears when I press the pedal slightly and dissappears when I press it further down, or take my foot off the pedal. It seems that I can control the noise with my foot on the accelerator pedal. Only a slight press with my foot produces this noise, and if I take my foot off the pedal, it is gone immediately. If I press it further down, it disspears too. I can also produce this noise when parked there.

You have a sticky throttle, Start by cleaning the throttle body, remove clean and lube the throttle cable, look under the dash for a binding pedal. I hope this helps take care

Since this problem started after an oil change, check the oil yourself to confirm it is at a safe level and there are no leaks at the oil filter or drain plug. You may be hearing the engine ticking and clicking from lack of oil pressure, especially at the lifters. These oil change guys work so fast they may have left something out....like the oil.

Any luck on what this is? I'm beginning to experience the exact same problem and I'm trying to figure it out.
Yes I have the same problem but mine didn’t start after a oil change plus Infiniti service couldn’t fix the problem I have a 2018 qx60
I have the same problem. Mine is a 2015 started just a month ago. Would love feedback.
I have the same problem . Has anyone figured this out
I have a 2017 model and I’ve taken it into the dealership numerous times for them to look at it. They have not been able to find the issue though they hear the problem. It has something to do with the transmission but they can’t fix it and they said it’s a known issue. I’ve had QX60 loaners and they’ve all had the same issue sadly.
My infinity qx60 had a humming sound and grinding took it to mechanic and they told me transmission and a transfer case i did my own checking turns out it was the rotor dust plate rubbing as i accelarate making that humming sound replace both front plates and no more humming no more grinding at all

I took mine into Sue infinity. And it’s just the loudness of the transmission The CVT transmission. They said there’s nothing to worry about.
