How does rear tire get Traction on a AWD

Asked by caballero Apr 08, 2016 at 07:21 PM about the 2015 Ford Edge SEL AWD

Question type: General

I do not understand how the rear tires get traction, when their is NO gears or
propeller shaft, no electronic propeler or gears. Can some one tell??

1 Answer

Soo as I understand, If all Edge were sold as AWD (even if they did not have such equipment for rear traction?),, if that is soo,, it is a bad action from Ford. (because of the price is more) I will revise once again at the rear suspension. Have you seen other Edge , with rear shaft so to comply with AWD ?/ Thanks for the info.
