Check with a voltmeter if Your alternator is charging,it can be simply done by holding the two leads of the meter on the battery posts while the engine runs. expect about 14 volts. If there is only twelve it means Your alternator is not charging. It could be a faulty alternator or even a broken wire between the dash light and the alternator. Also check for corrosion on the wire connections on the battery and the alternator.
