We bought the car in January and it's been a good  car. Started doing it when it has
been raining and now doing it no matter what.

Try replacing your Engine Coolant Temp sensor (ECT). Should be located near the thermostat housing. Post back with results. If check engine light is on, you may want to have the codes read first.
