Power steering

The battery warning light comes on
then I lose my power
steering....everytime it goes back to
the car dealers mechanic, it doesn't do
it, says nothing shows up on
computer.  Says hes changed battery &
alternator...it don't it to me over 6
times today on one 12 mile journey.  
We left it a few hours then took it back
out to record it doing it as proof &
guess what, it was absolutely fine. I'm
scared to do any long journeys & going
to the homeland is a 350 mile round
trip for me. Any advice would be
appreciated!
