Tire Size and Warning light?

I put two new tires on the front of my 2015 Murano
S AWD and I down-sized from a 235/65 R18 to
225/60 R18. I like the look better, the rear tires are
still the 235/65's, however now my AWD Warning
light keeps coming on and going off while
operating. Is this doing damage to my transfer
case or is this just a sensor issue?

I replaced the rear tires with identical size as front ones and the warning light is out and I’m up and running again! Thank you, Guru!
