Now in a Focus, the factory seats have a special weight sensor that coordinates with airbag deployment.  Take those out and the air bags can deploy with or without warning, so I have heard.  So how do you get past that?  Can you order special seats with the same sensor, or can you even deactivate the weight sensor features in the seats?

yeah, it's only the newer models, must've added it in the 05's or later, cause the 00-04's were pretty much exactly the same, with a few exceptions.
