After changing the plastic radiator bar that attaches the to some hoses and replacing the
thermostat and thermostat housing my car is still running hot and heat not working.

Did you get all the air out of the cooling system after replacing the parts? Air in the system will cause the issues you are having.
No just make sure that the radiator and whole cooling system if full of coolant and all the air is removed.
1. Fill the reservoir a couple inches below the bottom fill neck --- 2. Set the Climate control to Fan Speed 1, and the temp knob all the way to hot. --- 3. Start the engine and let it run. ---- 4. Start filling the resevoir to the "Max" line. Watch the fluid level and keep filling it to "Max" as fluid enters the system. Listen for the fan to kick on. Make sure fluid is at max at this point. ---

will the fan not kick on if the fluid level isn't at max? i just replaced this same plastic connector and noticed the fan wasn't going at all..is that a fuse?
