Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a Ford Focus 2001 SE 4 door sedan.  My serpentine belt broke. What I
need to know, does all the pulley's spin when the engine is on? I don't know if I
need to replace those too. Can any one help please?
Thank you

Yes all the pulleys need to spin. Idler pulleys, belt tensioner and pulley do go bad and need replacement. The alternator and power steering are of a more serious matter. Any one of these that do not spin will cause the belt to break.
