My GMC Suburban 1994 2500 4 wills drive 7.4 454 motor

My car would not start up and I have a 7.4 454 engine motor in it I have had a
camshaft put inside the motor and new distributor cap new spark plugs and it
still would not start but it would turn over and over again why

I have gotten a timing change on it but I'm not sure if the work are right or I can be missing looking on a part I need help
